We went on the friday this year and after walking through the village we went to the farm to see Mavis at the farm, it was lovely and bought back lots of memories, Clare and her husband turned up after doing a bike ride from Morecame to Whitby, I haven't seen her since she was about 6 so was nice to see her. We walked back past our caravan site and down past Above Beck and the woodyard, still love the smell from newly sawn wood! After going to the Dragon for a drink we watched the giants parade and the drum band, its a lovely atmosphere and we'l definitely do it again next year, maybe we'll even hire a cottage up there and do our own scarecrow!
